Yes all rooms have an en-suite.  Some rooms in the SCU (specialised care/dementia care unit) share an en-suite.

Yes, this can be done subject to availability.  If initially choosing a premium room, we need notice in writing that you wish to transfer to a standard room and will be placed on the waiting list

From July 2021 asset thresholds for residential care subsidies are as follows: –

• $239,930 for a single or widowed person in care

• $239,930 for a couple with both partners in care

• $131,391 for a couple with 1 partner in care (your house and car are exempt)

WINDSORCARE has its own doctor and it is recommended that you transfer to one of our panel of visiting doctors who routinely visit our facility and also provide emergency 24/7 cover. You can retain your doctor as long as he/she will come to the facility. You may need to pay the difference in cost as non-regular doctors tend to charge more than our house doctors.

WINDSORCARE have organised outings from time to time as part of our Divisional Therapists activities planned throughout the year.

Our wonderful friendly Diversional Therapists Lisa and Angela are actively engaged in providing a full range of entertainment, music and activities every day.  There is something on offer most days with themed activities to coincide with special events such as Easter, Christmas, Mother’s and Father’s Day etc.

Most activities are free of charge.

WINDSORCARE provides a bed, chair and bedside table.  We encourage residents to bring their own furniture/accessories to make their rooms as homely as possible. These items should not impede the resident’s mobility needs nor pose a falls hazard due to clutter.

Meals are cooked on site.  Breakfast is served in your rooms for Rest Home & Hospital. There is a separate dining room for Specialised Care residents, they are encouraged to have meals in the dining room. Everyone is encouraged to have meals in the dining room for lunch and dinner but can let the staff know if you prefer to have your meals in your room.

The main meal is at lunch time.  A 2-course meal is served.  If you have a visitor and would like to order a meal for them, costs are $8 for a small plate, $10 for a medium size and $12 for large.  Special/appropriate diet meals are available.

Yes, we have lovely gardens to sit in and enjoy the sunshine.  The dementia area has its own peaceful enclosed garden.

Smoking is strictly in the outside designated area.  We have happy hour twice a week in the facility.  Residents are able to bring their own alcohol if they wish.

Yes both are available on site every fortnight.  This is at your own expense

For organised group activities transport is provided.  We cover the cost for medical appointment transport. For any private appointments you would need to make your own arrangements. Our reception can assist with this.

This is a legal document that protects the resident and care facility by setting out the responsibilities of both parties.  Care providers are required to have an Admission Agreement. A copy of the agreement will be given before admission and must be signed on or before admission.
